Here you will find a summary of the regular weekly and monthly ASL-related meetings around the greater Spokane area, including ASL study groups, coffee chats, etc. See the "Events" section for other less frequent special events.

Weekly

Saturday Spokane ASL Study Group (ACTIVE)

Garland Rocket Bakery (903 West Garland)

Saturdays 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm

The Spokane ASL (American Sign Language) study group meets weekly every Saturday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

All levels of signing skill are welcome from ASL 1 beginners, to advanced signers. Sometimes members of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community attend as well. If you arrive early, or right at 4:00 pm, please be patient and do not leave if you do not find others signers. Some people can't make it until a little late, even 20-30 minutes late due to work, traffic, weather.

This first hour is more oriented to beginners. Intermediate to advanced signers may prefer the second hour.

Some only attend the second half of the session because of their more advanced signing skills, or because of their schedules.

There is a PDF available for download that can help facilitate study group sessions. You can find the latest download here: http://spokaneasl.com/downloads/documents

The Study Group schedule is NOT set in stone, and used only as a guideline to help keep things flowing, and accessible for all levels of signers.
